Reliance Jio 5G Network Launch in Second Half of 2021: Mukesh Ambani

Reliance Jio will start the 5G revolution in India in the second half of 2021, said Mukesh Ambani delivers the keynote address at the India Mobile Congress 2020. Mukesh Ambani said that India is among the best digitally connected nations in the world, maintain that lead we must accelerate an early rollout of 5G and make it affordable and available everywhere.

Mukesh Ambani also said that Reliance Jio 5G will be powered by indigenous-developed hardware and network technology to fulfill the Atmanirbhar Bharat mission. This initiative will lead India to the fourth industrial revolution, he added.

Mukesh Ambani also requested the government to help impoverished people, still using the 2G network by shifting to affordable smartphones. For that government help people in the form of direct benefit transfer into their bank accounts. Thereby they can be a part of the digital economy. 

Mukesh Ambani also said that India becomes a big digital economy, which results in India needs a lot of digital hardware. This increased demand for semiconductor chips for devices. Which makes India self-reliant in chip design. This will help India to lead in the semiconductor industry like in the software industry. Mukesh Ambani advises India should not rely on huge imports of digital hardware.
